James Cowper 'Loves where you live'

Thames Valley accountants and business advisers, James Cowper LLP have sponsored the ’Love where you Live’ environmental awards, which recognise businesses and communities that have helped improve the local environment.

The awards are organised by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, who list recycling and a cleaner environment as one of its main priorities. James Cowper LLP acts as financial adviser to The Tomorrow’s Valley project, a joint initiative between Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Councils for the procurement of food waste and residual waste solutions. The project has been awarded Pathfinder status by the Welsh Assembly Government.

James Cowper LLP has a specialist team to specifically advise businesses working in the ‘green’ economy. The firm already has a strong track record in the environmental sector but believes green issues are set to become a greater focus for mainstream businesses too – as the scrutiny on environmental practices and reporting increases.

James Cowper LLP sponsored the following two awards, ‘Best school environmental initiative which was won by Ffynnon Taf Primary School and ‘Best kept community’ which was won by Mr R G Osbourne who created community gardens in Tonypandy.
