James Cowper accountants merge with Southampton’s Buchanans
Thames Valley accountants and business advisers James Cowper LLP has today (16 December 2009) announced that it has merged with Southampton accountants Buchanans Ltd. The merger took effect from the 15 December 2009.
The merger will now see James Cowper operating from offices in Newbury, Reading, Oxford, Henley and Southampton. The combined firm will have a total of 175 staff, offering a full range of accounting, financial and business advisory services for businesses and private individuals.
James Cowper and 15 strong Buchanans have worked closely together since January 2009 when the two firms entered into a joint venture arrangement offering specialist insolvency and business turnaround services. This merger will see Buchanans adopt and work under the James Cowper name.

Buchanans is an excellent fit, having a good tax and corporate finance practice that complements our own and a particularly strong insolvency team.
