James Cowper adds Philip Freedman to Bloodstock Team

Thames Valley accountants and business advisers James Cowper has strengthened its Bloodstock team with the appointment of breeding and racing expert Philip Freedman.

Philip brings to James Cowper a tremendous amount of top breeding and racing experience combined with financial and accountancy knowledge.

Prior to joining James Cowper as a consultant, Philip has run Cliveden Stud for twenty years and has held numerous high profile roles within the bloodstock industry including Chairman of the Thoroughbred Breeders Association, Chairman of the HAC Horse and Pony Taxation Committee and Chairman of Trustees of British European Breeders Fund.

Commenting on his appointment Philip says: “I have been involved in the industry for the last 20 years at a number of different levels and understand fully the financial pressures within the industry and the important role that good accountancy and tax advice plays. My role will be to work with the existing team to use my knowledge of the industry and contacts to help them and their clients.

James Cowper has a long track record in the bloodstock and racing industry.

Philip Freedman will be attending the Thoroughbred Breeders Association AGM on Tuesday 6th January 2009 and will be available to chat further about his appointment. The AGM is due to commence at 10.45am at The Churchill Hotel, London.
