New Managing Partner at James Cowper
Steve Clarke is to become managing partner at Thames Valley accountants and business advisers, James Cowper.
He succeeds Adrian Rann, who after eight years in the role, is stepping down to focus on client-facing work.
Steve joined James Cowper in 1990 and was made a partner five years later. Previously an accountant with Oxford Scientific Films, he played a key role in the opening of James Cowper’s office in Oxford and has been instrumental in growing James Cowper’s specialist services to the technology sector.
The firm now has more than 200 technology based clients, from listed plcs through to start-ups.
As managing partner, Steve will play a pivotal role in delivering the firm’s growth strategy.
“We will continue to recruit people with national expertise in our specialist areas as well as look for strategic merger or acquisition opportunities which meet the quality service delivery James Cowper is synonymous for,” he said.
“We have built one of the strongest tax teams in the Thames Valley and offer a real alternative to businesses who are often unhappy with the fees and service they are receiving from very large firms.”
